sure, i've been stamping. but i've been a bit pre-occupied with school. this whole 9-5 scene (or 7:30-2:45) really cramps my style. is it "cramps" my style or "crimps" my style? whatev. these are card sets i made for a silent auction at school. at least, i think they're here...they don't show in the preview and it's been so long since i posted, the format has changed! here goes...

Shadowbox Ephemera

This little shadowbox is sort of a memento of my vacation. I altered a pencil-type box from Oriental trading company and made a frame from cardboard.

Clean and Simple

A clean and simple card usually uses a neutral base and isn't afraid of leaving a lot of it un-embellished. This one is for a splitcoast challenge; cas80. I used sahara sand and purely pomegranate on very vanilla. Yes, i still have some of that old satin ribbon left. I bought a lot of it when it was on sale. The stamp set is Silhouette Sentiments which is a hostess set.

Here is a set of 5x7 pictures. One is for everyday and there is a Christmas image that can sit behind the everyday image till Christmas time. I love the quote on the everyday. It's Emily Dickinson; "Hope is the thing with feathers, That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops-at all."

Here is a little non-card. This little basket has an acetate window and the treat bag is filled with Swedish fish...which, you may as well know, I cannot control myself with. They're just. so. good! The little fish stamp in the corner says "best fishes" and no, I didn't give this to anyone...I ate the fish so I couldn't!

coming up daisies

This stamp and I have a history...it's love, okay? For this card, I used basic gray with daffodil delight. The background and the ribbon are very vanilla.

This one (below) used saffron with not quite navy and celery. I used a chalk-resist technique. That is, the image was stamped with a versamark pad and I just used a sponge dauber to apply color.

And this time, I did an brayer resist. The background is soft sky applied with a brayer but first I adhered a trapazoidial mask. (Is trapazoidial a word?) Anyway, the daisies were the last to be stamped, in pacific point.

Whew! That's about all, but I'm sure there will be others with the "Upsy-Daisy" set. It's a "go-to" for me.

This card was just for fun and for a scs challenge. It isn't good for much but for some reason, it speaks to me....I just don't know what it's saying! :) I do like the color combo...but then, I'm a fool for green.

i used stampin up pads which are a little wider than the ones gina used. i used baja breeze and not quite navy.

Boy, do I love this color combo! The silhouette stamp is Hero Arts i think, and the sentiment is from Verve. The patterned paper is from an old stack I got for a song one day in Michael's but how lovely that it was a perfect match!

Here is my new blog. This one is just for my stamp projects. Hope you like it.
This is a new technique called plaid silhouettes. I inked up the stamp with yellow and then pressed the edges of two darker colors on the stamp. Kind of fun! Make sure you always go from light to dark stamp pads or you will "dirty" your lighter pads! I also made a paper flower using a 5 petal punch. I punched three of them and layered them. for a tutorial, check here:
